Are you affiliated with other
Appraisal-related web sites?
No, we are an independent company and are NOT affiliated or
owned by other companies. We do advertise on the Internet, and
sometimes the ads we run for appraisers show up on competitors web
sites (they get paid by someone else for showing our advertisement).
Rest assured that we are not "tied-in" with these companies.
Why are out-of-area appraisers
listed in my coverage area? Both appraisers and appraisal management companies are listed in
the database. Some of the appraisal management companies are located
out of state, but they subcontract to local appraisers who perform
appraisals in the area.
What do the Stars (
) next to the
appraisers' names mean? Stars shown next to an appraiser's name indicate that the
appraiser has been formally rated against strict criteria set by an
independent council of industry professionals. More stars means that the appraiser
satisfied more of the conditions required to obtain the rating than
other appraisers with fewer stars. Ratings are based on various
factors including turn time,
level of training, experience, customer feedback and disciplinary
action checks.
What does "Rated" mean?
Most appraiser search sites just list
appraisers. AppraiserMatch.com does a whole lot more.
We've partnered with a council of industry professionals (appraisal
customers) that tell us what is most important to them. This
allows us to deliver a measure of quality about the appraisers that
list with us.
When I put my counties in, it says full. Does this mean that I
won't be listed?
After choosing counties when specifying your coverage area and
clicking next, the word "Full" is displayed by all of the counties
selected. The word "Full" means that you serve the full (or whole)
county. You can click on the county name to include or exclude
certain cities from the county. This feature exists to allow
appraisers the opportunity to further refine their coverage area.
After excluding cities, the word "Partial" will be displayed next to
the county name. (See Editing your
coverage area)
How are appraiser search results sorted and
displayed?
1) Rated - First by Rating, then by Order Eligibility and Order
Bid*
2) Preferred - By Order Eligibility and Order Bid
3) Listed - By Order Eligibility and Order Bid
*Online ordering will not change account
type or increase Rating.
See "How Does Online Ordering Work"
details below.
Can I upgrade my appraiser account from Listed to Preferred or Rated later?
Yes. If you are already listed, click
Upgrade to upgrade your account.
How Does Online
Ordering Work?
AppraiserMatch.com does charge for the special online ordering benefit. One
of the ways AppraiserMatch.com is different from other web sites is that our
customers determine how much they want to be charged for each online order they
receive.
Here is an example to explain how it works:
When you sign up for online
ordering, you open a online order fee account with an initial
amount of $10. You then determine how much you are willing to be
charged for each online order ($1 is the minimum cost per online
order accepted). When you have emptied your online order fee
account, you will need to make an additional deposit. Like a
pre-paid calling card, you deposit money into an account, and
money is deducted each time you use it.
Instead of listing your company alphabetically within Ratings and listings, we
now allow you some control over your listing position by
participating in online ordering.
Online ordering will not change your account type or increase your
Rating*, but you can otherwise change your position
within the search results by choosing to be charged a greater
amount for each order you accept.
*An appraiser’s
listing position will only be increased among other appraisers with
the same service level and rating.
